Dr Ray Mariasoosai has been practising as a Respiratory and Sleep Physician in Newcastle since 2018. He is a Staff Specialist at John Hunter Hospital and Co-Director of both the Newcastle Lung Group and the Newcastle Pulmonary Function Laboratory.

Dr Mariasoosai’s primary clinical interest is thoracic malignancy; however, he has extensive expertise across all areas of general respiratory and sleep medicine. He performs bronchoscopies and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) procedures at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital.

Sleep studies are arranged and reported by Dr Mariasoosai through Warners Bay Private Hospital and Sleep Medicine, Charlestown.

He is happy to discuss urgent referrals by phone, particularly those relating to suspected or newly diagnosed lung cancer, and will accommodate early appointments where possible.
